Have a confirmation class that would
benefit from the opportunity to
join other seekers and leaders from
the connectional church? Then this
event, designed to supplement an
ongoing confirmation class or kick-off
a new class, is for you!
Confirmation class members have
the opportunity to work with youth
from other churches on challenging
group projects. In addition, planned
time for participation in discussion
and reflection within their own
home church groups.
Stronghold will provide experienced
leadership to guide confirmands
through a weekend filled with a
balance of spiritual, academic,
and physical components. The Confirmation
Retreat at Stronghold includes:

• Team-building Activities
• Study
• Worship Experiences
• Challenge Games
What
will the retreat cover?
Retreat study materials will compliment
your group's confirmation curriculum.
Through experiential learning and
discussion participants will explore:
• The sacraments
• Presbyterian polity
• Church structure
• Creeds and confessions

is the Retreat?
February 8–10, 2008

13–15, 2008
Each retreat begins with registration
between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Friday
and ends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Choose the best weekend for your
group!
How
do we register?
The registration fee of $120.00
per person covers lodging, five
meals beginning with breakfast on
Saturday, snacks, and program fees.
To register, fill out the registration
form, enclose a check for $60.00
per person and send to Stronghold,
Box 199, Oregon, IL 61061. The remainder
of the fee ($60 per person) is due
at on-site registration.
Each class of confirmands must be
accompanied by its adult leader.
The recommended ratio is one adult
for every seven youth. If you bring
males and females, you must provide
a male and female leader.

Policy (per person)
• 30 days prior to event:
forfeit 50% of deposit
• After registration deadline:
forfeit 100% deposit
• 7 days prior to event: forfeit
100% event cost
