in tents at
different
sites throughout
Strongholds

two half-day
canoe trips

Rock State

High Ropes

chance to
see the
hills of
the Rock
River Valley
from horseback.
Come to
Trailriders
and spend
half of
each day
at a local
ranch learning
how to ride
and care
for a horse.
The skilled
wranglers
at the ranch
are eager
to help
you get
the most
from this
unique camping
experience.
No experience
with horses
is necessary.
Spend

other
half
of
the
day
at
Stronghold
in
traditional
camp
activities

camp
is
a
partnership
between
Stronghold,
Campfire
International
and
Hospice
of
Joliet
and
is
a
time
set
aside
for
youth
who
have
experienced
the
death
of
someone
close
to
them.
All
typical
activities
are
included
along
with
counseling
and
therapeutic
sessions.
Grief
professionals
and
summer
staff
make
this
a
rewarding
time
for
these
campers
who
stay
in
the
Castle.
