Jr. High Eco-Explorer's Camp

The earth is full of God’s “riches and creatures.” Come and explore God's wonderful creation in this exciting camp. Plants and critters “many and varied” are hiding in plain sight – if you know where to look! Using all their senses, Eco-Explorers will explore the natural world, look under rocks, learn to identify animal tracks, taste the flavors that native plants have to offer, and challenge themselves to live "‘more greenly." Campers are sure to go home with a renewed love and respect for God’s amazing creation through this camp.

camp
is
a
partnership
between
Stronghold,
Campfire
USA
and
Hospice
of
Joliet
and
is
a
time
set
aside
for
youth
who
have
experienced
the
death
of
someone
close
to
them.
All
typical
activities
are
included
along
with
counseling
and
therapeutic
sessions.
Grief
professionals
and
summer
staff
make
this
a
rewarding
time
for
these
campers
who
stay
in
the
Castle.
